A few years ago, I started learning about affiliate marketing. I had purchased an eBook from eBay as a digital product. Since the product could be downloaded immediately and sales were automated, it immediately appeared to be a successful business model. I looked into doing the same thing and produced a few of my own eBooks for online sales. However, there were numerous reasons why I struggled.
However, the idea of an automated business system never left anyone’s mind. I continued to investigate the concept, which led me to the affiliate marketing business model.
Referral-based marketing is a type of affiliate marketing in which the affiliate is rewarded for a sale made on another company’s website. Anyone can learn to market affiliate products. The possibility to work for myself from home, without having to actually handle products or interact with customers, was what initially drew me to affiliate marketing.
